About School of Chemistry
The chemistry discipline at Dalian University of Technology (DUT) was established in 1949 by renowned Chinese chemist Professor Zhang Dayu. With a long-standing history and distinct academic strengths, the discipline has developed into a first-level doctoral program with a postdoctoral research station. It ranks in the top 0.1% globally in the ESI (Essential Science Indicators) and was selected in the first round of China’s “Double First-Class” initiative.
Over the past seventy years, the discipline has evolved through several stages, from the Department of Basic Chemistry to the Department of Chemistry, and ultimately to the School of Chemistry, providing solid support for the advancement of chemical engineering and related fields. The School is known for its emphasis on fundamental talent development and cutting-edge research, with a focus on integrating science with engineering. It has nurtured many professionals distinguished by both theoretical foundations and applied expertise and is steadily becoming a key force in high-level talent cultivation and scientific innovation in the field of chemistry in China.

NSFC International Excellent Young Scientist Positions

Generally, candidates should be no older than 35 years of age. The appointment is for 2-3 years, with clearly defined performance objectives, and specific criteria can be consulted with the relevant faculty contact.
Compensation and Benefits Package:
· Compensation is provided on annual salary basis, with additional funding if selected for national or university-level talent programs.
· After completion of the postdoctoral program, candidates who remain in Liaoning Province and are recognized as part of the "Xingliao Talent Program – Postdoctoral" will be eligible for provincial financial rewards.
· After completion, candidates who remain in Dalian and are recognized as outstanding young talent will be eligible to apply for Dalian municipal housing allowance.
· Outstanding postdocs who successfully complete the program will be recommended to apply for Assistant Professor or Associate Professor positions at Dalian University of Technology and may apply for the university's housing allowance.
